I was doing some thing about Naruto shipuuden and about Madara Uchiha and if he really is bad?

basically hes plan is to project his sharingan onto the moon and create a infinite illusion and cast the whole world to it and that will ensure world peace. What would he really gain from that? I think he made all this up to actually start a world war where everyone would team up on purpose this way he could get all the nations allied and it would actually create world peace by having everyone work together. Maybe he purposely is playing the bad guy to do all this like code geass and lelouch and how he died at the end the zero requiem? What do you think?
