Why does no one care about the plight of innocent lentils?

I have seen video after video of animal cruelty. But nobody cares about the lentils. Those precious legumes just want to be fertilized so they can drop to the ground, find roots, collect sun and water then grow into new lentil plants. But callous humans chop them down and treat them as nothing more than food. They commit genocide against the gentle lentil. They torture the precious plants, literally ripping their precious female sexual organs off by the millions. Far more lentils are destroyed every year than people were in the Holocaust. But nobody sheds a tear for the little, defenseless beans. When will this tragedy end?
